Registered Nurse - Critical Access Hospital

Rotating 12-hour shifts, primarily nights with possible day shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at a critical access hospital. The RN will work in the Emergency Department (ED) and float to Medical/Surgical (MS) when needed. This hospital serves a diverse patient population, from birth to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the ED and MS departments for patients with conditions such as COPD, Diabetes, CHF, Cardiac issues, and Trauma.
• Administer cardiac and diabetic drips and manage medication mixing due to the absence of an in-house pharmacy.
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patients' conditions effectively.
• Maintain a 2:1 patient-nurse ratio in patient care settings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience as an RN.
• Valid Colorado RN license.
• Current certifications in TNCC, ACLS, and BLS.
• Experience with EMR, specifically Cerner.
