Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Schedule
Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM. Must stay past 5 PM until all cases are seen/finished for the day. Weekend/on-call required, typically every second or third weekend.
Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provide support for other imaging technologists as needed, and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure is expected.

- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Perform examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput.
- Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions.
- Participate in daily logs and periodic tests as required by license.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an equivalent program.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
- Basic computer experience required.
- Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB required.
- State Licensure required (Texas: MRT by TMB).
- BLS certification required (AHA only).
