Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a schedule varying within the 12x3 model.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse for Med Surg will provide high-quality patient care in an acute medical setting. The role demands recent experience within the specialty to effectively manage patient outcomes and demonstrate comprehensive nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor and document patient status, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Support patients and families with education, resources, and referrals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of several years of recent experience in Med Surg nursing.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.

Holiday Expectations

Candidates must be willing to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
