Registered Nurse - Acute Care Rehabilitation

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour Shifts, Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed. Float required between all campuses.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Rehabilitation team. This position involves specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs, including those recovering from strokes, aneurysms, surgical procedures, and neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs, conduct medication reconciliation, and evaluate patient health questionnaires.
• Perform dressing changes and assist with the setup of sterile procedure trays.
• Engage in telephone triage, handle pharmacy calls, and manage patient refill requests.
• Interpret laboratory results and assist in capillary specimen labeling and collection.
• Provide care for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and generalized debility.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6, with potential adjustments for patient acuity as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year experience in an acute care rehab setting required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• EPIC charting system experience is required.
• No first-time travelers will be considered.
• Active RN license must be in hand at submission.
