CVPICU RN - Night Shift

Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description

Join our award-winning Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) as a registered nurse. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, working in a fast-paced, critically focused environment. The PCICU is known for its exceptional outcomes and is a referral center for major pediatric cardiac surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio based on acuity.
• Engage in patient assessments, nursing interventions, and documentation.
• Administer medications and manage complex medical equipment.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support families and provide education as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience.
• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Current certifications in PALS and BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred certifications include ACLS.
• Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) is highly preferred.
