Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit

Day shift: 3x12 hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00).

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in providing care to a diverse patient population across a range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in charting systems, specifically Epic, and possess relevant certifications for effective patient management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for patients within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, interpreting telemetry data.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
• Active RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
