Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will provide comprehensive care to patients experiencing labor and related conditions. The role demands expertise in circulating and scrubbing for a variety of procedures, including OB-GYN, post-op, and pre-op care. Excellent collaboration with the healthcare team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood and blood products as needed.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, including GYN surgeries.
• Utilize various medical equipment such as Epidural Pumps and PCA Pumps.
• Maintain sterile techniques during all procedures.
• Float between the Labor & Delivery unit and Post-Partum as required.
• Conduct physical assessments and care for both low-risk antepartum and transition nursery patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
• Active compact RN license required upon submission.
• Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS (preferred).
• Epic experience required.
