Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour Day Shift (0700-1900) with flexibility to cover other shifts as needed. Schedule typically involves a 7 on, 7 off rotation with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years of recent experience in the Emergency Department. Our emergency services include a Main ED with 11 beds, a Fast Track area with 6 beds, and a 7-bed Observation Unit. Nurses will rotate regularly through various areas including Triage, Quick Registration, of Covid testing, and Entry Screening. Daily assignments may change based on patient volume and departmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Rotate through assigned areas including ED Main, Fast Track, and Observation Unit.
• Assist with Covid testing and immunization clinics as necessary.
• Answer call lights and phone inquiries as needed.
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing departmental needs throughout the shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in Emergency Department settings.
• Must hold current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certifications.
• Conscious sedation certification may require a $105 fee and obtained post-confirmation.
