Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist with extensive experience in critical care settings, including the ICU, ER, and NICU. The candidate must possess the skills to manage patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation, and work effectively as part of a resuscitation team during high-risk deliveries in the nursery. This position involves floating across various departments within the hospital, providing care to patients ranging from newborns to adults.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care and life support to patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide resuscitation support in the nursery.
• Contribute to patient care activities throughout the hospital, including adult ICU and ER settings.
• Utilize Drager V500, Hamilton T-1 ventilators, and other respiratory equipment effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the EPIC documentation system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care environment.
• Experience working in a nursery and as part of a resuscitation team covering high-risk deliveries.
• Strong assessment skills and experience with advanced respiratory equipment.
