RN Heme/Outpatient Infusion

Schedule

This position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

Join a community-based oncology practice as part of a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This small practice consists of an MD, APP, LPN, Ambulatory Tech, and 3 RNs. The role involves managing a mixture of hematology/oncology/monoclonal and non-oncology referral infusions. You will typically oversee 8 patients at a time, conducting chemotherapy teaching at the chairside, with a maximum daily infusion capacity of 24 patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment protocols and side effects.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
• Perform IV and port access with strong vascular access skills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of recent infusion experience required; outpatient clinic experience highly desired.
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps.
• Current, unencumbered New York State RN licensure.
