Registered Nurse - General Observation

Schedule

This is a straight night shift position, working from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required. On-call duties will be assigned per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our General Observation Unit. In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring patient conditions, providing essential nursing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high standards of patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and overall health status.
• Administer medications and provide basic care interventions.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort measures.
• Communicate effectively with the medical team regarding patient progress.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, providing initial care and stabilization.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a general medical-surgical unit or similar nursing field.
• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
