Day shift: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery (L&D) position. The ideal candidate will possess strong high-risk obstetrical experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role primarily involves caring for both mothers and newborns, including functioning in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries and providing immediate postnatal care until transfer to postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk maternity patients.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage electronic fetal monitoring (EPIC hardstop required).
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and manage newborn care immediately following birth including assessments and administration of medications as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the education of patients and families regarding maternity care and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-acuity, high-risk labor and delivery.
• Active compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP; ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience and solid references from past employers.
