Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing care to patients in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills to ensure effective patient care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities according to staff skills and experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Two previous travel assignments must have been completed successfully.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• ESI level 5 training is required, TNCC is preferred.
• Cerner experience is preferred.
