Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extension.

Schedule

Shifts include rotating night and day schedules, working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Flexibility to adjust shifts may be required based on hospital operational needs.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients on a telemetry unit, including managing patient care, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs. The role involves potential floating to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and respond to telemetry alarms.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing is required.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current.
• Travel nursing experience will be considered.
• One professional reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for is required.
