3x12-Hour Shifts, Days (07:00 - 19:30), Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. This position will primarily focus on the medical-surgical patient population, with the requirement of EKG capabilities for all RNs on the unit. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and must be comfortable floating across various Cone Health facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for observation patients, patients with respiratory conditions, and various medical-surgical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation in the EPIC system.
• Manage care for palliative, end-of-life, hospice, and psychiatric observation patients, including new diabetics and surgical case management.
• Perform advanced nursing skills such as EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Must hold an active RN license.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Charge RN experience is preferred.
