Job Description

The Surgical First Assistant will focus on cardiac surgery, providing essential support in the operating room. The role requires a thorough understanding of both endoscopic and open-heart procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and aorta repair.
• Utilize skills in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting and Open Heart First Assist.
• Provide support during surgical operations and ensure a sterile environment.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience, preferably utilizing Terumo or Maquet equipment.
• A minimum of 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience.
• Required Certifications: CSFA, CFA, or SA-C.
