Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position offers a NOC schedule with 3 × 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Shifts are from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our 28-bed Emergency Department. This facility is a Primary Stroke Center, utilizing Teladoc virtual neurology services for stroke care. The ED is not a designated trauma center or pediatric receiving facility; however, we stabilize walk-in trauma patients for transfer to a designated trauma center and direct pediatric patients requiring advanced care to appropriate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize proficient EPIC charting for accurate patient record management.
• Operate various medical devices, including B. Braun IV pumps, bedside bladder scanners, EKG machines, and Philips monitors.
• Participate in patient stabilization and transfer processes for trauma and pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience is preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required.
