Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This role requires skilled nursing professionals to support expectant mothers through high-risk deliveries, manage newborn care, and ensure the safety and well-being of both mothers and infants.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, including assessments, medications, and interventions.
• Assist with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, responding to any abnormalities.
• Educate and support mothers regarding postpartum care and newborn care.
• Administer intravenous medication and manage epidural anesthesia.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRPS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
• Charge experience is preferred.
