Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Available shifts include:

• 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with no call
• 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with at least one on-call shift bi-weekly

Job Description

The NICU Registered Nurse provides essential care for neonates, including those with a wide range of conditions. The nurse will be expected to float to other NICU units or facilities as needed to maintain patient care standards. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend unless circumstances change.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and intravenous therapies
• Manage and monitor ventilator settings and respiratory support
• Perform assessments and document patient care in the EPIC system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and recovery plans
• Assist in special procedures including full body cooling and chest tube management

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU II and III experience
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Active state nursing license
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system
