Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift – 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Some weekend shifts are required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) who is proficient in the care of high-risk obstetric patients. This role requires a strong background in managing labor and delivery procedures effectively, with the ability to handle various maternal emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support for patients experiencing labor, delivery, and postoperative needs.
• Monitor labor and delivery processes, ensuring the health and safety of both mother and baby.
• Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about birthing processes and postpartum care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current RN license.
• Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRPS.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
