Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekday and weekend call rotation and holiday call rotation as needed.

Job Description

The Surgical Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room environment. This role requires effective leadership and teamwork in a fast-paced setting, handling a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing care to patients pre, intra, and post-operatively.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and communicate effectively regarding patient care.
• Be proactive in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in call rotation and be available to respond to call-backs as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of experience in the surgical specialty is required.
• 2-3 previous travel assignments preferred.
• Must have strong orthopedic experience.
• Valid RN license and certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and robotics preferred.
