Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

Effective 1/11/2024, local candidates are no longer being accepted. The Computed Tomography (CT scan) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images and ensure a safe and positive experience for patients. Responsibilities include trauma and emergency room scanning as well as performing CT exams on outpatients, inpatients, and patients requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures while practicing and enforcing radiation safety measures.

Schedule

Saturday to Monday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM with no on-call responsibilities (Three 12-hour shifts).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
• Licensure: New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in New York.
• Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Experience: Entry level; limited or no experience; MIT Level assigned based on skillset and experience.
