Registered Nurse - Nights

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a 36-bed unit, working collaboratively with a supportive and experienced team. The focus will be on enhancing patient outcomes through effective communication and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care.
• Manage and maintain care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes.
• Provide care for patients experiencing strokes and seizures.
• Administer and monitor dialysis and PCA pumps as required.
• Post-operative care including amputations, ostomy, drains, oral surgeries, and wound vacs.
• Conduct bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1-2 hours.
• Engage in medication scanning protocols, including controlled substances.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Ability to float over core staff as needed.
• Experience in acute care nursing preferred.
