Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 26-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The successful candidate must have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be able to manage telemetry patients. All nurses will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical-surgical needs.
• Administer and manage blood products, peripheral line care, and IV starts.
• Utilize Rapid Response teams and participate in code situations as needed.
• Implement isolation precautions and follow safety protocols.
• Float across all Cone Health facilities as required.
• Work in a charge nurse capacity when needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar medical-surgical setting.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring preferred.
• Must demonstrate previous charge nurse experience.
• Epic charting system experience is preferred.
