Mammography Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with a daily caseload of 15-20 mammograms. There is no weekend requirement unless volunteering for events, and no on-call is needed.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation. Experience in stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound biopsies is a plus, although not required. The tech will work exclusively within the Breast Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in alignment with protocols.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretations.
• Stay updated with best practices in mammography and breast imaging.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Current certifications in BLS, ARRT (M), and SCRQSA (M).
• Active South Carolina state license is required prior to start.
• Experience with Hologic and Siemens equipment is preferred.
