MedSurg RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekdays and weekends required.

Job Description

The MedSurg RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to acute medical-surgical patients. The role requires adaptability and a focus on teamwork to ensure evidence-based care is delivered effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as necessary.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess their conditions regularly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain detailed patient records using the Cerner EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in West Virginia or Compact License.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
