Postpartum Nurse - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, offering a total of 36 hours scheduled with 24 hours guaranteed. Please note that the facility may cancel one shift.

Job Description

The Postpartum Nurse will provide exceptional care to postpartum patients, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and infants. This role requires timely and skilled nursing interventions while maintaining communication with healthcare teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to postpartum mothers and their newborns.
• Assist with assessments, interventions, and education on postpartum recovery and infant care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members on patient care plans.
• Document patient progress and responses to interventions accurately.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of recent postpartum experience within the last 12 months - REQUIRED
• Active NRP certification from an approved vendor - REQUIRED
• Active BLS certification from an approved vendor - REQUIRED
• No disciplinary actions on state license to practice - REQUIRED
• Valid driver’s license to verify residency - REQUIRED
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
