Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Days with On-Call Rotation)

Day shift with on-call rotation: on call one night a week and one weekend a month.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab will utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional care for patients undergoing cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established standards of care and state laws.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation as per system and entity standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide education to patients and families at appropriate levels of understanding.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and engage in shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to support patient care across units and departments.
• Manage complex patient situations and delegate appropriately while ensuring patient safety.
• Engage in personal development and participate in opportunities for continuous learning.
• Support and participate in peer review and feedback initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Education Verification Required
• 3 years of RN experience with 1 year of critical care experience required
• Cardiovascular Intervention experience required
• Current Wisconsin or Compact RN licensure
• Current BLS certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Successfully pass EKG test
