Nuclear Medicine Technologist

This position is a full-time, 8-hour dayshift role with rotating weekends and rotating call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform various imaging studies including cardiac scans, HIDA scans, gastric emptying studies, lung scans, and thyroid uptake assessments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Radiology department to provide high-quality imaging services in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures and imaging studies.
• Start IVs for imaging as required.
• Maintain knowledge of department-specific equipment, including Siemens E-cam and Philips Brightview systems.
• Utilize EMR-Meditech Expanse and PACS-AGFA IMPAX for patient record management.
• Participate in department-specific orientation and training as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT or NMTCB certification is required.
• Current West Virginia State Licensure.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience in starting IVs and performing EKGs is essential.
