Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Night Shift)

Schedule

Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, 4x12 hours.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with EPIC EMR experience to provide care in a Cardiac Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will hold current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications, along with NIH certification. A strong background in managing cardiac patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, and performing essential cardiac care is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage medications, including blood products, and titrate cardiac drips.
• Monitor telemetry and manage patients with cardiac conditions including STEMI, NSTEMI, and CHF.
• Conduct assessments, vital sign monitoring, and patient education.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as PPM placement and defibrillator placement.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Stepdown unit.
• 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory.
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and administer care during cardiac emergencies.
