This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Job Description

The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) provides critical care to a diverse range of neurological patients, including those with severe stroke, traumatic brain injury, and postoperative neurosurgical demands. This position requires exceptional clinical skills and experience in neurocritical care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with neurological conditions, including ICP, stroke, and seizures.
• Perform ventilator management and titrations of sedatives and vasoactive drips.
• Administer IV medications, blood products, and conduct ABG interpretation.
• Caretake for ICP management and EVD procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Current RN license, preferably compact state compliant.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
• Proficient in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry.
