Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Variable - Day and Night shifts possible, 12 Hour shifts (36 hours weekly) following the first week of orientation. Scheduled 12 hours on-call at least once a month. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Job Description

This position involves caring for laboring mothers, assisting with deliveries, and providing immediate care for newborns and post-delivery care for mothers. The ideal candidate will be proficient in utilizing computerized systems, specifically Meditech, and fetal monitoring systems like GE/Centricity.

Responsibilities

• Care for laboring mothers throughout the childbirth process.
• Assist with delivery and provide immediate care for newborns.
• Offer post-delivery care for mothers.
• Utilize Meditech and fetal monitoring systems effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications are required.
• STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are recommended.
• Must possess a valid Hawaii Nursing License by the start of the assignment.
