Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This role involves implementing treatment goals and programs established by the Physical Therapist, while ensuring patient and employee safety in all aspects of care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to quality care, aligned with our core values.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions, such as posture training, strengthening exercises, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in the use of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Demonstrate modalities including whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses and document progress, including patient and family education.
• Maintain a clean treatment area, adhere to safety policies, and report any hazards.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Participate in special projects aimed at improving quality and efficiency of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certification.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active applicable license for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5x8.0 schedule, starting on November 1, 2026.
