ICU/CCU Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

This position requires working 80 hours every 2 weeks, with no exceptions. The schedule includes night shifts and rotating shifts.

Job Description

The ICU/CCU Nurse will coordinate and provide care while meeting the individualized age-appropriate needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the ICU/CCU. The unit specializes in services for surgical patients and those with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ICU/CCU setting.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2, adjusting based on patient acuity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in the recovery of patients post-anesthesia in PACU, as required.
• Float to OB, MS, PACU, and ER to assist according to individual competency levels.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license required.
• Prior experience in an ICU or CCU environment preferred.
• Emergency room experience is recommended.
