Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Schedule

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, and rotating schedule (12x3).

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across various medical-surgical units as needed. The RN will need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while floating between different departments in alignment with patient care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to all patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and implementing patient-centered interventions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic health record (EPIC required).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license with verification through Nursys.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing specialty.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Ability to float to all medical-surgical areas as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
