Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Night shift: 3x12-Hour Schedule (18:00 - 06:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN will provide specialized care to neonates, ensuring their health and safety through monitoring, assessment, and intervention procedures. This role involves attending high-risk deliveries and supporting breastfeeding and the handling of breast milk for infants.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate care to newborns.
• Monitor and manage ventilator settings and support for neonates.
• Administer care in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
• Document all patient care in the Epic charting system.
• Provide support to families regarding breastfeeding and infant care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of previous charge nurse experience.
• Valid RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Experience with neonates, specifically in NICU settings.
