Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hours, Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our telemetry unit. The role requires remote monitoring experience, with a focus on stroke (neuro) patient population. The nurse will provide specialized care to patients with multiple co-morbidities while ensuring adherence to best practices in telemetry and general nursing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with various telemetry needs.
• Manage feeding tubes and IV access protocols.
• Administer blood products and manage central/peripheral line care.
• Provide wound care and ensure isolation precautions are observed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; telemetry experience preferred.
• Active RN license required upon submission.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
