Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing medical emergencies. This role requires a blend of advanced clinical knowledge, quick decision-making skills, and effective communication to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patients and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changing healthcare needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in Emergency Room settings.
• Must possess a valid Permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current certifications in AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required; TNCC certification is preferred.
• Recent ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments will be required during orientation with acceptable scores.
