Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and actively engages in patient/family teaching while guiding the activities of other nursing personnel. The Registered Nurse maintains high standards of care in the ICU and is accountable for the care given to assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with the physician regarding changes in the patient’s clinical condition.
• Monitor patients' conditions, including hemodynamic status, and respond promptly to any changes.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching sessions.
• Adhere to all protocols and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital or critical care setting
• CCRN Certification is preferred
• COVID vaccination and boosters are preferred
• Experience with MEPIC EMR is required
