Travel RN - OR Circulator

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days - 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call and rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works collaboratively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room, adhering to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain communication with families regarding patient care.
• Update physician preference cards as necessary.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care.
• Manage timeliness of surgical cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of OR Circulator experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Robotics experience is highly preferred.
• On-call commitment of 6-8 shifts per month.
