LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities, and supervising assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in planning patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities appropriately.
• Supervise and direct assigned nursing personnel.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:00.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two to five years of nursing experience required.
• Must have current ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Vent/trach experience is required.
• Must have at least two years of recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting.
• Valid Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
