Registered Respiratory Therapist

Schedule

This position is for a 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM shift, working 36 hours scheduled with a guaranteed minimum of 24 hours per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care in accordance with current standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. This role involves assessment, planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions to optimize patient breathing and ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic gases, aerosol treatments, and other modalities to patients.
• Perform assessments including bronchodilator studies and sleep studies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory health and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and monitor patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months RRT experience with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Active BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
