Registered Nurse

Job Description

The competent Registered Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness and comprehensive understanding of patient care. This role involves providing both routine and complex nursing care while focusing on long-range goals. The nurse must be adept at managing contingencies and effectively delegating tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness based on established protocols.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying resources as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• One year of experience in the related nursing specialty is preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Must hold a valid RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with multiple shifts available, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
