Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position offers a 3x12-hour night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other week, with holiday coverage as needed. Floating across various facilities may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires proficiency in telemetry monitoring, with a focus on observing patients with respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, and palliative care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and observe patient conditions effectively.
• Administer medications and perform assessments as required.
• Manage care for patients with chronic conditions including diabetes and psychiatric observation.
• Provide support for general medical and surgical diagnoses, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• All RNs must pass an EKG compliance exam during onboarding.
• Previous charge RN experience is preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
