Schedule

Shifts available: Day (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM) and Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 4x12-hour rotation.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients experiencing a variety of emergencies. The RN will be expected to perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care for patients with critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to adult patients in a high-volume ER setting.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings in EPIC.
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and medications as per protocols.
• Manage ventilated patients and perform emergency procedures as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Comply with patient safety standards and isolation precautions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license (New York is not a compact state).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, particularly in emergency settings.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system is required.
