Registered Nurse - IMC Unit (Nights)

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The competent nurse in the IMC (Intermediate Care) unit provides both routine and complex patient care, demonstrating an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. Responsibilities include the assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, along with the management of psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Delegate tasks to other care providers to help manage clinical situations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intermediate Care nursing specialty required.
• EPIC experience is highly preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only).
• RN license in the state of Texas or compact license is required.
