Travel Swing Bed LPN

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with floating and on-call duties as necessary.

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for providing delegated aspects of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes making decisions based on education, experience, and nursing regulations. The LPN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support for activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Administer medications and perform peripheral IV therapy.
• Collect data and assist in patient assessments.
• Implement physician's orders and document patient care activities.
• Engage in discharge planning as needed.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• IV certification required; facility accepts any valid IV certification.
• Must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting process.
