Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

This position is a 12-hour day shift role requiring flexibility for scheduling and floating between units.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool. As a part of this team, you will support various units, including Medicine, Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Orthopedics, Acute Rehab, and Psychiatry. Flexibility is crucial as you will float between Med/Tele units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in multiple specialty areas.
• Support and ensure continuity of patient care across various units.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and care protocols.
• Adapt to changes in patient volume and unit needs effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing unit, preferably in a large teaching facility.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Active RN license is required.
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory; NIHSS required before the start date.
• Recent Epic experience (within the last 2 years) is non-negotiable.
