Surgical Nurse - Various Specialties

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5 x 8 hour shifts per week; on-call time required for 2-3 shifts per week and every 3rd or 4th weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Surgical Nurse to provide care across various surgical specialties including general surgery, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, neuro surgery (including craniotomies and spine cases), and trauma. The nurse will be expected to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures and must be adaptable to float between different departments as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures in multiple specialties.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes during surgery.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide quality patient care and education before, during, and after surgery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact License.
• BLS certification required.
• Must pass PA Fingerprints check.
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating is essential.
