Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled for evenings from 15:00 to 03:30 or nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend work is required every other weekend.

Job Description

The role involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a trauma setting. As an ER RN, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, especially in managing critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently interpret and manage dysrhythmias - certification test required.
• Administer IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Care for patients with a diverse range of diagnoses, including trauma, stroke, and mental health concerns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
• Participate in interventions and procedural sedation administration.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 3 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department, including travel experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of staff RN experience in an Emergency Department at a Level 3 trauma center or higher (Level 1 or 2 preferred).
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (or ATCN), ENPC (or PALS).
• Experience with ventilated patients and ICP monitoring is preferred.
